Most of us who experience PPD suffer through a horrific experience, but we do survive and often come out on the other side with a greater appreciation for life. But PPD can be deadly. It can destroy families. This reality needs to be acknowledged in order for us to come together and prevent other family tragedies. Many of us who’ve survived this illness can truly empathize with the despair of the women whose lives were taken by PPD. It is in their honor and memory that we forge on, spreading awareness and understanding.
