Could it be Prenatal or Postpartum Depression (PPD)? PPD is the #1 complication of childbirth, affecting nearly 700,000 women in the U.S. each year. PPD is a general term describing a wide range of emotional and physiological reactions to childbirth, occurring any time from pregnancy to one year postpartum. Having PPD does not mean you must feel "depressed". Be sure to browse the list of symptoms showing the wide range of perinatal distress. How can POEM help?POEM, Inc. is an organization established to provide support, awareness and education to those affected by maternal mental health issues in the state of Ohio.
